Saturday Events.....

Our Saturday started out with the boys and I planting the garden. Chad gave me a wonderful Mother's Day gift of black dirt!! I was so excited to see the two big piles of black dirt in our driveway when I came home from work on Friday!! We wanted to put a garden in last year, but never found black dirt early enough. We picked a different spot for the garden this year as it is now in the back. It turned out to be bigger than what I was expecting, so we even planted sweet corn and pumpkins this year. The boys had fun planting the seeds and, of course, playing in the dirt. Carter even helped with the hoeing, which was nice. We had to take a break from gardening to make a visit to the Alma Vet Clinic where the puppies were getting their shots. The boys wanted to see how much they had grown and spend a little time with them.Carter sure enjoyed the time he spent with the puppies. He is such an animal lover. He held on to the puppy the entire time and loved it up.
Bradley was funny.....he wanted the puppy to sit on his lap, but didn't want to hold it. It was cute watching him pet the puppy as he would put his face really close to the puppies, and then pet his head ever so gently.

The Yorkie puppies are an interesting breed. I didn't know how we could ever have a dog with my allergies, and even with Carter's allergies. I decided to do some research. When I was researching "dogs" and "allergies", I found out that Yorkies do not have an undercoat like other dogs do. Their hair is almost human-like and they do not shed.
Yorkies love to be held and cuddled like babies. They enjoy being around little kids.
This is Toby....no Benny......no Toby......no.......Oh, I don't know.....I can't tell the difference between them. You would have to ask Carter!

Oh, what a big garden! All I can think of is weeding :). I'm sure that you will enjoy the produce as it becomes available and it will be a time for you and the boys to enjoy together.

Love,
Auntie Pat
