Monday morning

As I was getting the boys ready for school and daycare, I found Bradley sitting by the door just admiring his new Diego bag. He was so excited to go to daycare with his new bag, he couldn't wait to leave.
I thought Cousin Austin would enjoy these pictures, as he sure did make Bradley's day by giving him the Diego bag. Thanks Austin!!

"I'm tired this morning, but I love my Diego bag!!!"

Today is Carter's share day at school and he is very excited about taking the stuffed snake that Abby gave to him. It's like Christmas for the boys!! Thanks cousins!!

Sunday

We never miss the chance to party with Grandpa Ed! We celebrated his 96th birthday on Sunday, along with the Klimee cousins, with lunch and lots of goodies at Grandpa's house. Grandpa's birthday is on October 7th (....just 2 days before Shana's...) We sure did have a fun time together as I will share some of our day with you...

We took some group pictures. Here Grandpa Ed is with all of his Great-Grandchildren....
The kids were our photo helpers and organized our picture with Grandpa. We did our best to know which camera to look at first as there were three of them going off....

Abby and I are on a camera shoot-off.... Here's one of Abby with Grandma Deb and Grandpa Ken....
Carter is my little photographer and always a good sport about going around to catch pictures of everyone. I've included his work.....
Bradley (possibly saying CHEESE...?????).........
Uncle Jamie......."Look up Uncle!"..
Chad.....not sure what he is thinking at the time...???????....
Cousins Austin & Andrew. Andrew is jumping up and down, touching the ceiling...
Auntie Shana......we also brought Auntie's gift to the party as we were informed of celebrating everyone's birthday.
Cousin Austin, whom I got to see drive that day!
Grandma Deb and Auntie Shana....
The most entertaining part to the party was the grandkids driving Grandma Deb's scooter. This was a hoot watching them drive down the road and back. You could say everyone had their driver's permit that day....even Bradley.
Everyone wanted a turn driving...

The fun just kept on going that day. When we returned home, the boys decided to get out the dress-up clothes and put on some pretty smashing outfits. My best guess is that Bradley is an Alma Rivermen who is going out hunting....
Carter is possibly a Redneck Spiderman in disguise. He is wearing my straw hat that I bought special for Tara's redneck bachelorette party....
What a fun time......a very exciting weekend!!

Saturday

It was a fun-filled Saturday as we started out the day at a Durand football game. We went to watch our favorite football player.......Mr. Dylan Dorwin......#29.
You can see #29 in his football attire, there on the side of the field...... Carter & Paige's classmate, Caitlin, also plays football. She is the only girl on the team.
If you zoom in on this picture, you can see Dylan without his helmet on....
Dylan had a pretty big cheering section from the side (from left to right).....Auntie Tracey, Uncle Brian, Grandma Vicky (holding little Kayla who decided to take a snooze during the game), Missy, Grandma LaNita, Grandpa Bill, Todd, Paige, Carter, Bradley, and Cruz (not pictured at the time)...
The boys had to get their picture taken with the football star....
It was a good game and Durand won the game against Plum City, 20-0. Way to go Dylan!!!
After the excitement of the game, the boys and I headed up to Eau Claire to do our annual apple orchard fun day at the Hillview Apple Orchard. We were meeting some friends there.
Bradley fell asleep on the way up, so Carter and I had about 45 minutes to ourselves which included eating a caramel apple and taking in some of the games. It is all in the open, so we were able to keep an eye on the van while Bradley took a cat-nap.
The caramel apples were yummy.....it is a challenge to eat a caramel apple without the mess.....Carter had caramel all over his face and hands by the time he was done. But it was worth it!!!
Shooting some apples at the target with the apple sling shot.....
Bradley's up from his nap......we take a ride up to the apple trees on the wagon that is pulled by two Belgian horses (we were informed that each one weighs about 1,800 pounds). They were siblings....Storm & Rose.
Bear gets to go with us.....
The traditional picture of the boys picking an apple and taking a picture of it....
Bradley showing off his special apple.....I'm not sure about the look on his face..?????
Carter's turn to pick an apple and get a snapshot of it......
Carter thought the apple that he picked was the best!!
The boys really enjoyed this part....the driver of our wagon let the boys hold the straps that directed the horses. They were so proud to be helping the driver with his horses!
Playing in the bails of hay...
I was taking this picture of Carter as Bradley popped up at the very end. Carter and I agreed that the picture was pretty funny with Bradley's head sticking up.
We are off on our apple trail walk. I love this part of the trip....
Here's the bench that we sit on every year for a picture. Bradley does not enjoy getting his picture taken as much as his brother does. We usually have to sneek in a picture of him.....
What a fun and busy day. On Sunday, we headed to Independence after church to celebrate Grandpa Ed's 96th birthday. I will try to post the pictures from that tonight. Have a great week everyone!

Enjoying the warm weather...

The boys found themselves getting out the sprinkler one last time this year.....or so, I think, one last time...???? We have been enjoying the warm weather again!
On Saturday, the boys and I were able to catch one of Austin's soccer games at Eau Claire Memorial. For the first game, the Barron team played Hudson. It was a fun game to watch and I think the final score was Hudson winning with 2 points. Update....just read Shana's blog...Hudson won 3-0. Austin was fighting a miserable cold as I heard his mother reminding him to take another dose of DayQuil. Good job Austin....it was fun to watch you and your teammates!! After church on Sunday, our family headed up to Eau Claire to run some errands. That afternoon, it was another nice day, so the boys decided to have some water fun. Here are some pictures of the excitement.

Taking Toby through the sprinkler.....not sure if he was liking it!!

I think Toby would rather chase the kids as they were running around...

Last week, I found Bradley outside in his yellow rain boots and Carter's orange NASCAR cap.

As I went to see what he was up to......
He had found himself a nice little tree frog.....
Later that evening, I found Mr. Tree Frog in our house. It was an intense moment when I, CALMY, had to tell Bradley that tree frogs belong outside, NOT IN OUR HOUSE!!!
Bradley's only response was......WHY???
