Saturday

It was a fun-filled Saturday as we started out the day at a Durand football game. We went to watch our favorite football player.......Mr. Dylan Dorwin......#29.
You can see #29 in his football attire, there on the side of the field...... Carter & Paige's classmate, Caitlin, also plays football. She is the only girl on the team.
If you zoom in on this picture, you can see Dylan without his helmet on....
Dylan had a pretty big cheering section from the side (from left to right).....Auntie Tracey, Uncle Brian, Grandma Vicky (holding little Kayla who decided to take a snooze during the game), Missy, Grandma LaNita, Grandpa Bill, Todd, Paige, Carter, Bradley, and Cruz (not pictured at the time)...
The boys had to get their picture taken with the football star....
It was a good game and Durand won the game against Plum City, 20-0. Way to go Dylan!!!
After the excitement of the game, the boys and I headed up to Eau Claire to do our annual apple orchard fun day at the Hillview Apple Orchard. We were meeting some friends there.
Bradley fell asleep on the way up, so Carter and I had about 45 minutes to ourselves which included eating a caramel apple and taking in some of the games. It is all in the open, so we were able to keep an eye on the van while Bradley took a cat-nap.
The caramel apples were yummy.....it is a challenge to eat a caramel apple without the mess.....Carter had caramel all over his face and hands by the time he was done. But it was worth it!!!
Shooting some apples at the target with the apple sling shot.....
Bradley's up from his nap......we take a ride up to the apple trees on the wagon that is pulled by two Belgian horses (we were informed that each one weighs about 1,800 pounds). They were siblings....Storm & Rose.
Bear gets to go with us.....
The traditional picture of the boys picking an apple and taking a picture of it....
Bradley showing off his special apple.....I'm not sure about the look on his face..?????
Carter's turn to pick an apple and get a snapshot of it......
Carter thought the apple that he picked was the best!!
The boys really enjoyed this part....the driver of our wagon let the boys hold the straps that directed the horses. They were so proud to be helping the driver with his horses!
Playing in the bails of hay...
I was taking this picture of Carter as Bradley popped up at the very end. Carter and I agreed that the picture was pretty funny with Bradley's head sticking up.
We are off on our apple trail walk. I love this part of the trip....
Here's the bench that we sit on every year for a picture. Bradley does not enjoy getting his picture taken as much as his brother does. We usually have to sneek in a picture of him.....
What a fun and busy day. On Sunday, we headed to Independence after church to celebrate Grandpa Ed's 96th birthday. I will try to post the pictures from that tonight. Have a great week everyone!

Kara & Allie also went to an apple orchard on Sat. over by Rochester and they had some mighty nice looking apples.

Looks like a fun time with the boys.

I'm sure that Dylan was pleased to have such a large cheering section! What fun to go and watch the little ones as they are involved in their activities.
