Praying for Dan & Rachel Fitzgerald

Please pray for Dan & Rachel Fitzgerald.  It's their little boy's birthday today, who would have been six years old. This is a hard, painful day - its simply an overwhelming day. As we want to honor the day of our child's life, we are so saddened by the pain of not being able to see them grow up. As their birthdays come around, it becomes more and more difficult, trying to think about what they might look like.....what they might be like.  We hurt so badly because we don't know them at their growing age. We only know them at the age that we last saw them. We want so badly to see them grow up.....so badly to hold them....tell them happy birthday...just to see them again....exactly how we remember them.....

Please pray with me for the Fitzgerald's today.  Losing a child changes your life forever. They will need comfort, support and an abundance of prayer!  We will cling to God's promises, hold on to hope, and surrender our pain to Him in prayer.

"Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping." Psalm 39:12

Lord, we come before you sad today, with heavy hearts. You know our heart; You see our tears and hear our cries for help in this time of sadness. Some days we are just numb - and today is one of them.  But we know that You are with us - we are not alone. Help Dan and Rachel through this time.....through this day.  They need You. We pray that the memories of Collin's life will shine so brightly today, giving them hope and carrying them through the day. Give them strength to persevere, as another birthday goes by. Allow them to honor, remember and celebrate Collin's birthday today, to how it feels good and right to them. We pray the Body of Christ will surround and protect them today. We pray this day will be special as they remember Collin, while allowing them to grieve, to cry and be themselves in their pain.  Father, we lift them up today, as You fill them with Your love, compassion and faithfulness, and remember their sweet boy on his birthday. Please give them the strength to be hopeful and help them find their way forward. We know that even though today seems dark, we have the Light of the World, Jesus Christ, on whom we can rely.  We will cling to You.  In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Happy Birthday sweet Collin!
