Point of Impact - Jacob's Well

This was a truly powerful message written by Jenny Blaisdell to a Small Groups Pastor at Jacob's Well:

Some will see this as a copout, but I truly believe one of the most
overlooked and underemphasized "Points of Impact" is right in our very
own homes.

So many times a message like this one tugs at my heart to get more
involved, reach out, join more groups, sign up, take a trip, and so
on...

All of those things are obviously part of beautiful ministry and God's
work in so many ways, but this weekend my heart went out to those who
stay back, stay home, say no, and miss out on some of the more
"exciting" types of ministry in order to be truly present with their
families.

For young families,I believe God himself calls us to love our spouses,
raise our children, teach them His ways, set an example of Christlike
love for them, discipline out of love, play, share, listen, laugh, cook,
clean, tell stories, ask questions, go camping, lay in the grass, visit
people, do homework, encourage, wipe tears, and most of all pray, pray,
pray, with each other & for each other.

My hope and prayer is that more families (especially those with young
kids) would feel empowered to find their Point of Impact in raising the
next generation of Christians, leaders, and parents so that a cycle of
good honest old-fashioned parenting could grow.

I want to thank you and all the staff at Jacob's Well for the open-ended
communication, the amazing work you do at every stage of the journey we
walk as Christians. For encouraging us always to take that next
step...Our small group has been a huge blessing in my life!
I have met people who are willing to share their story, experience,
advice, their homes, and their love!

Choosing to attend Jacob's Well & all that entails has made a greater
impact on our family than any other single decision we have made in
recent years.

May God continue to bless the good work He is doing through the many
dedicated willing vessels joined together at Jacob's Well.
Thank you. We are blessed beyond measure.

THANK YOU, JENNY!
