Briana Riley Calanca

Thinking about today and praying for the family of Briana Calanca.  We did not know Briana, but through each of our family's personal tragedy, we have come to support, pray and be there for each other in our suffering.  Briana went into the arms of Jesus only three months after Carter did.  Through our prayers and relationship with the Calanca's, we found out that Carter and Briana's life were so much alike......happy, motivated children that had so much love to give.  Their lives truly shined for Jesus.  Her birthday, July 17, just ten days before Carter's ---- I often think of Briana and her life when I am thinking of Carter.

Please think of Briana today and say a prayer for Neil and Jamie -- today is Briana's Heaven day ..... another hard day for moms and dads in the journey through the loss of a child.

Trusting in Your Promises

Thinking about sweet Maddie today on her Heaven day.....and praying, praying, praying for her mommy and daddy, who so long to see her again....to hold her again.  Praying for Aaron and Sara Martineau and asking God to give them divine courage and strength today.  Praying for God's promises and words to speak truth to them - and those words would be tucked away in their hearts. We so long for the day of no more pain, no more tears and no more suffering.  Praying for the loneliness and emptiness that is felt with the loss of a child - that only God can fill with His unfailing love, compassion, mercy and grace....that God's words speak of His unchanging love for us.  Lifting up our empty hands to You today, Lord.

Blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering. Though there's pain in the offering, Blessed be Your name.  ~Matt Redman
