Happy Birthday, Toby!!

Happy 1st Birthday to our dog, Toby......or do I say Happy 7th Birthday (in dog years)!?!? Toby had a birthday on March 19. I know, I am a little late for the post, but it has been a little crazy around here.

We celebrated with cake and presents. Carter made a French Vanilla cake since Toby can't have chocolate! We even had friends celebrate with us. Our good friends Heather, Nicholas & Zachary were on spring break (Amery school district) and they came to visit us and had a sleep over. It was so good to see them! Nicholas & Zachary are Carter & Bradley's age and they sure do have fun together. Heather and her family had to move due to budget cuts at the Gilmanton School District.

A look back when we first brought Toby home......

He was so cute. His pretty black hair is now all gray. He must have inherited the gray hair from me (or should I say....from Grandpa Ken).......Thanks Grandpa Ken!! Ha/ha.

We love our Toby. He blends in great with the boys!!

Carter's Wrestling Tournament - Durand

We had a fun time at the Durand Wrestling Tournament today. Carter wrestled well and came home with a 3rd place trophy.
Carter's first opponent was from Spring Valley. He wrestled the same boy at the last tournament in Spring Valley. Carter wrestled very well and lost the match 8 to 2. The Spring Valley boy pinned Carter at the last tournament. Carter showed more strength this time around and used some good wrestling moves on the boy.

Carter's second opponent was his good buddy, Logan. Poor Carter felt sorry for Logan, as Logan started to cry during their wrestling match. It was cute.....as Carter was on top on Logan during their wrestling match, he asked Logan..."what's wrong??" He didn't want to wrestle Logan with him crying. We had to yell out to Carter..."Keep wrestling, Carter!!"

Carter won his 2nd match 6 to 2.

Carter's last opponent was from Mondovi, who was a tough wrestler. It was a good wrestling match. Carter hung in there, but ended up losing 6 to 0.

Carter came off the matt in his last match, slightly angry, as the Mondovi boy kept grabbing Carter's head gear to turn him over. Carter felt that the boy was "cheating". He did not like that, but as always.....no tears!! :-)

A big group of fans came out to watch Carter today! The Dorwin cousins were cheering him on!! Dylan was giving Carter some pointers today.

In the bleachers, Uncle Todd, Grandma LaNita, Auntie Missy, and Cruz were watching from above.

Down below, Grandpa Ken, Grandma Deb, Paige (who you can't see), her friend Miah, Chad & Grandpa Bill.

The Dorwin family came to watch Carter today. Paige had her friend, Miah, with her, who is also Carter's classmate. Paige is having a sleepover tonight with Miah.....Durand does not have school tomorrow.

Grandma Deb & Grandpa Ken drove all the way over in the snow storm to watch Carter wrestle. Thanks for coming....I know how hard this was for dad to be driving in bad weather and SNOW!!

This marks the last tournament for Carter's wrestling. He has one more week of wrestling practice and then his pizza party. It was fun watching him this year, but I am glad it is coming to an end. It gets to be a lot of running during the week and every weekend for tournaments. I think Carter is a little tired today from Daylight Savings Time.

If you have not heard, our girl's basketball team is on their way to state tournaments in Madison next weekend. The last time they made it to state tournaments was 1997. Good luck Durand Panthers!!
